Hi, I have a 200L Fluval Roma and sadly only one light works. It seems to be as bright as it would be with 2 lights but apparently it's not just about the brightness.
The problem is, I can't seem to find a light that would fit properly, or what type I'd need. Does anyone have any recommendations? It's 100cm long and I'd like suitable lights to grow different types of (easy) plants.
Thank you!

The only suggestion I have is to contact Fluval and ask if they have replacement light. If they do, it won’t be cheap though.

If you’re a handy person, you can remove the part of the lid which is openable and place a glass cover on top of the aquarium. Then buy an LED light like a Hygger, and sit it on the glass cover.

The tank is the old version, it's about 7 years old so they don't sell it anymore. I'm not very handy when it comes to electricity/lights.
Maybe I should get a new glass lid? And a big light to go over the top? Do you know if the black rim on the glass is easily removable?

No, you can't remove the black rim, but you should be able to unscrew the hinges which attach the lid to the black rim. Then a new glass can go on top and a 90cm long light can sit on the glass. It won't look as pretty as what you have now, but it will work.

Hello,

The Fluval Aqua Sky LED 600 is IP67 and can potentially be retrofitted in the enclosure of your current T8 fluos.

A couple good pictures of your Hood / Light enclosure / canopy would help.

Remove the current Fluorescents. Dismantle and remove all the current electric assembly. all Sockets / Ballast / Wires

Jerry Rig a way to support your new light and a passage for the power line outside the hood.

I did it lately with an old Hagen 5 gallons starter kit from the 90's, I was able to fit a nice programmable multi-function full spectrum Led strip without loosing any of the vintage look of the kit.
