Lighting Question

i keep seeing these little clip on the side tank lights are these any good for a 4ft tank or not as the case would be ?

as i need to sort some light in my tank are they ok for a temp measure also would a marine light system be any good for a freshwater tank

Clip on's wouldnt provide nearly enough light for plants...
You may get a better rounded answer if you told us what you plan for the tank.

not really a plant fan it is really just so i would be able to see the fish and wouldnt want to spend more that i did on my filter to be honest

i need to sort a hood out as well but cant decide weather i should build or buy a ready made one

i am a complete newb at all this only been in the hobby 5 mths so tank will probably house a java and maybe a sword in groups but thats about it tbh
