Mmmmm...I like that idea,

I was also considering sticking foil to the plastic flaps above each light as there is very little clearance between the water, tube and the flaps. :grin:

That's OK 3w, shiny side out, just keep an eye open when it gets older as it may start to oxidise and crumble into the water!
I've done it this way before on a tank with little room in the hood. Mac.

The juwell reflectors do clip onto the tube (you probably don't need that info anymore but I thought I'd tell you anyway )

And will any reflectors also clip on - eg arcadia?

Clips come with them.

They are just the normal clips so I guess any would clip on - I don't know if the flaps would still fit or whether they'd fit next to the central spine though.

Hmmm...not sure here,

the Rio 400 has a couple of metal cross bracing straps that are close to the underside of the lights, I think if I do go for the reflectors it would be better to stick to the Juwel ones, just to be safe.
