Lighting Help Needed

I've been following the fish-in cycle guide and actually stayed up last night to check his water and not make him wait until I woke up (and why I was doing water changes at 4am..).

Good to know about the plants helping with the ammonia. I don't have any yet because I was still researching them. I'll see if I can get at least a couple plants today along with new lights. Poor Mr. Lunch is looking worse for wear this afternoon. Normally he's all over the tank and teasing my cats and this afternoon he isn't.

Got a couple plants. Got new lights.. Did a water change and right in the middle of it my disabled cat fell off a shelf straight into the fish tank. She just happens to be shedding heavily. So now I have 1 Betta fish and a bunch of cat hair floating around my tank.. Hopefully the filter catches it and I don't have to redo the entire thing cause I think I'd have to wash everything to get the fur off!

As long as you haven't treated your cat for fleas you will be fine. If you have treated it, put some carbon in the filter asap.
