Lighting For Refugium

Hi,
I've just gone and built a small glass refugium for my Nano Reef tank (10"x10"x18"deep) My question is what sort of lighting can I employ to sucessfully propagate Cheato.
I noticed on Skifletch's journal he has gone for a energy saving bulb. I too would like to go this route if it is possible, something like 11w equal to brightness of 100w ordinary bulb. Would this be fine for the above application. Dont really want to spend a heap of wonga on specialist lighting.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

BigC..the lamp illuminating my refugium is simply an 'executive' desk lamp that was advertised as 'natural full spectrum indoor light'. It has a small 4 tube PC lamp. Anything like that should do fine and you should be able to pick something up cheap. If you have Home Depot or Costco over there...you might find a lamp like this. Here is an example that would work well:

And thats pretty cheap and wallet friendly to boot.
I'll hunt around for something similar.

Just as a follow up. I'm going to wire a bayonet fitting batten lamp holder in the cabinet (over the refugium) and use a daylight bulb such as the ones below.

Any ideas on reflectors for such a setup.

a simple desk light with a PC bulb with a built in reflector is what i used...

I also use T5 pc bulb with reflector, or you could use a arcadia arc-pod they are 11w.

How many gallons is your refugium. If the light is full spectrum in the 6700K range, should do well. SH

Yeah SH,
The refuigum volume is around 24 litres or 5.27 UK Gallons
or 6.34 US Gallons (liqiud)
I'll hunt down a bulb to those specs.
