lighting and filter questions

my dad can get the cement and all the stuff to make it for cheap, he is friends with a person that owns a supply store, and he is also a good customer there because he owns a cunstruction company, so that would be taken care of. He probebly would pay fort it.

i am still not 100 percent sure abnout even doing this. i may decide not to, or to just do the 5 gallon and get some crabs, because that is basically what I want, some cool crabs. Though I would like a clown fish, the lfs actually said that I could keep a clown fish in a 5 gallon. Not to mention that nano reef.com forums has some people with really tinyt tanks, and they have fish in them. ALike a 2.5 gallonb with some small gobbies, and a 6 gallon, which is only 1/2 a gallon less than mine with a clown fish.

Just because other people are doing it doesn't mean it's a smart thing to do, or is in the best interest of the fish :/

AAAhhhh. Live rock for $9 bucks a pound???? What a rip off. I get 45 lb boxes of cured LR for $150.00 at my LFS. If I pay cash, no tax. I'm sorry to hear that. Jim
