I have a tek light luminaire with 4 54watt t5's (216watts Yay!!). This will go on top of a 64 us gallon planted tank. I can turn two sets on independently of each other. How do you recommend i time the lights to come on. I was thinking a total 8 hours lighting time. With all 4 t5 's on 5 hours as a midday burst. How does that sound?

Great to me :good: Just plant as heavily as you can to prevent algae. You'll probably need a Co2 system unless you already have one?

Same light qty. and tank size as my 120cm tank. Almost 4wpg T5 is high light.

You'll need good a CO2 system - pressurized is essential and regular fert dosing, inc. NPK.

Plant very heavily or you'll be growing more algae than plants.

I have 8 hours on full blast, but that's because my old Arcadia model doesn't have seperate plugs. Otherwise I'd go 3-4-3 (10 hours).

Thanx for the help. I'm thinking of going the 8 hours total photoperiod with all four on 5 hours. The tek light is expensive but you get what you pay for. The reflectors are awesome. And u can turn the two sets on independent of each other. I have pressurised via a fire extinguisher. I'm going to dose NPK, Mg and Trace mix. Well thats the plan
