Hey all,
I'm going out of town for 6 days...I'm planning on using a feeder block, as I have some very young endlers and am nervous that they won't survive the week.

I'm concerned, because the hood on my tank is broken, and the light only turns on if I hold the bulb in place for a second after it's plugged in...if it was on a timer, it wouldn't turn on.

So, do I leave the light off or on? (I can't afford a new hood right now, so that's not an option..)

Thanks!

Definitely off. It wont hurt the fish but it will help avoid an algae bloom.

Is there no alternative to the feeder block? No one you can get to nip round n feed the fish once a day/every other day? You could leave the food portioned out in one of those pill containers that has mon-sun written on them.

thanks for the response.

unfortunately, no. everyone with a key is coming with me for the week.

Hmm... any chance you could do us a favour? Can you check all your stats before you go away and then check again when you get back? It'd be good to see if the gel block is any better :good:
