Just thinking about when i start up my Rio125l marine, i will need to some how get 125litres from my lfs to my home! XD How do you guys suggest the best way would be to do this? I was thinking about those big plastic containers you see.... but wont it be really heavy?
Either that or get six plastic 25l boxes with lids and stack them up in the boot of my parents car. Would it take them ages to fill all these containers?
Thanks Finlay

P.S I would be getting an RO Unit whenever i could afford it, and i have heard there is a way to plug it into an outdoor tap and take it off when your finished... This would be absolutley IDEAL! How do you go about doing it though?

25 litre jery cans is what I use. Just realised you are very close to me, which shop will you be using??

They can be heavy, mine a lifted for me, they don't take that long to fill as the LFS will have a reservoir somewhere with RO water in.

these sealed containers are sold by most larger lfs....

That's some of the salt mix arriving when I set up the big puddle

i was in the same situation as you mate...i had a 125.

ask around, your relatives are bound to have a water container from a camping trip...i managed to source a 10 litre one, and then i bought myself a 25 litre one from the camping store.

i then filled it up over a period of a week

also keep in mind you dont need to fill it to the brim straight away because rock and sand will displace water

Ring up your dentist, ask them if they have any they are willing to donate. As a dentist near me sells them for £2.50 because they get Strerlized water brought to them in these containers, and they can not use them again afterwards to they are stored/thrown. So now my dentist just sells them on. Its worth a phone call IMO.

Yeah Tina, so we are!!! Im in St.Annes, know it? unfortunatley there is a shortage of good marine stockists around here :/ Fylde Water Gardens is freindly though! World of water (Blackpool) are kinda reknowned for whitespot, so i may have a problem when it comes to getting my livestock, any suggestions would be great!
Will have a scout around for containers :)
Thanks guys!

Haha no probs buddy. Not sure if every dentist will do it that cheap etc, but the worst they can say is no I guess.
