was told this was a female, so i just want confermation as im new to betta's

hmmm doesn't look very feminine to me....

not the best way to tell as young males have one, but does she have a whie spot underneath her? just before her bottom fin?

also when she flares does she have a full 'beard' from her gills or do they just come up at teh sides?

no white spot, and it has 2 fins up the side, and like 2 into one undernieth?

not 100% get you lol, urm i would get better pictures but that one was hard enough to take,

so if you can try and get he/she to flare, ususally by holding a mirror up

held up a mirroe, she went to investigate but wasnt fussed what so ever, the underside of mine looks exactly like the underside of the betta in the first link you sent me.

I female will have a heart-shaped beard when flaring... so no dark bit in the middle of her chin. That's what mine have looked like anyways lol.

Has a strangely shaped spine too, but he/she's pretty
