Haych
Fish Gatherer
After seeing the pic that Carole sent me of her sailfin, i decided to do some research.
A couple of years back i bought a "clown pleco" and i ADORED him. He would come to the surface to nick the cichlid sticks we fed the angel fish, and he was a good 8-10". I had to rehome him as we dismantled the tank.
I still miss him to this day.
My rant being this, i was told (and wanted another) "clown pleco", and upon researching, a clown pleco is this:
these grow to be 4" - not a bad size if you want restricted sized plecos,
I had:
a sailfin!!!!!
and i am annoyed that LFS can pass these HUMONGOUS plecos as the smaller clown....
After owning a sailflin, I'd have one again in a shot, but i dont have the room for one

Consider getting own if you cant house a common "giant" they are great. Im getting a large tank and really like to perchise a giant as theys get such good reveiws...But off topic LFS should have all employs test or licensed in some way because they miss inform people so often its a shame..
