Cool i've tried the flow off a rock, and nothing - maybe it does have algae on it?? I'll do the dip and see if that helps. I'll let you know when i do it.. really appreciate the help mate!!

Ahh rubbish, there's a place here that sells Australian Spider Sponge like the size I have- thought u might be interested but your a bit far!!!!

ta anyway, my local LFS is tropical paradise and the owner (Richard) is a legend, I am sure he can find me nice one eventually.

My local LFS aren't great but this place is either stupidly over priced and well under priced!! Luckily the slider was under priced at £20!! I also got a Cynarina for £35 there!! But then a small brain is £55!!

Can any of you guys suggest any websites/books etc that would explain the basics of maintaining an azoox tank.

No not really woody, it's not all that well researched TBH.
There is a forum that seems ok, if you pm me I will tell you the name but I think it would be best to just research or ask, I am sure I can answer most questions on setting up as long as you don't wanna know about the feeding habits of denrons
