Yes, but you're better off keeping it live. How long are you actually taking the tank down for?

Should be fine short term, how big is the tank, how long are you planning on keeping them in there? N.B. I mean one of the species of clown, definitely not both.

Little to no chance this would work unless the tank is A enormous and B they're introduced to the tank at the same time, even then it's a risk.

What are you trying to change about your tank?

Tank down for a few days to change my down pipe! then stack the live rock niceley but leave it with no fish for a few weeks to let it all mature and do its magic!

Shame about the regal tangs it would only be a 350l tank ! not sure what to do about that fish now :(

LFS has told me its better off just fighing what ever is wroung and soo ill wait and see what happens!

oly thing i wana do is mod my drain pipe!

what about getting a food grade plastic container?? You could get a large one and move fish/rock their for a little bit. Keep the heater in there and ph's if you can find a way. A few other members have stored their fish like this for a little while. Then you shouldn't need to mature your rock b/c you shouldn't lose any filtration.

*Just an idea :)
