let me introduce you

i have finally managed to find myself a betta, after finding him i have seen quite a few. he is called pinchy,and he is blue bodied and red finned and hes gorgeous , hes still alittle shy but seems to be settling in fast.not having had one before i was a little worried to find him settled on the bottom of the tank. did i get worried, but he was just asleep. he feeding and swimming well and hes inwith the mollie babes and some corys at the moment. he seems very happy . are they best with other fish or would he be better on his own? pebbles

Congradulations on the new betta, they are great to watch. I have mine by themselves because every fish i ever tried them with, they attacked. It may just be mine, they are happily sharing a devided 10 gallon that is heavily planted down the middle. Hope all goes well with yours. Enjoy them, they are great. Mines favorite thing to do is to surf on the bubble wands in the back of the tank, too cute. Sandy

The betta I had was very calm and peaceful. Just don't keep a female around. I had livebearers with him and he did just fine.

I think it depends on the betta. My betta seems happier with other fish. He lives with a Gourami, Platy, and Black Skirt tetra. He likes the Gourami the most.
