Mbuna should not be fed bloodworm (or any other meaty substance) .

They are predominantly herbivores, although the Yellow Lab is a Piscivore and will eat insects.

If you feed them bloodworm their bodies will not be able to properly break down the fatty content and there is a good chance they they will end up with Malawi Bloat and die. :/

Baby brine shrimp will be ok for your fry, as will standard tropical flakes if they are crushed up very finely

Yes, this works perfectly, just make sure you crush it into powder for newly released fry. brine shrimp is a nice supplement, and if you have any rocks with algae on them in the main tank, throw one in there for them to nibble at.

You mean insectivore :)

i didnt mean i feed them bloodworms all the time just on the od day as i read on the net its good for them, the fry mainly get bbs and crushed flakes.

play it safe and leave the bloodworms out of it, if you wish the best for your fish long term.

Your fry should be fine, you don't really need to make special allowances for feeding them. They will eat the algae and I saw mine (about the same size as yours) nibbling on a pellet the other day it looked dead funny coz the pellet was almost as big as he is!
