Hi folks, I wonder if someone can cast some light on this.
I have had a leather finger coral (Devils finger I think) for two or three weeks and it has not stopped producing brown slime in that time.
I have moved it around, more flow, less flow, more light less light, but it continues to produce brown slime.
All water parameters are good but there is brown slime everywhere (I'm fishing it out with a net)
I currently have it low down in lowish flow, positioned right away from everything else.
The only other corals are a Kenya Tree, some Zoas and some mushrooms.
I added some activated carbon yesterday but it seems to be worse if anything.
I'm now at the stage where I am seriously considering getting rid of it.
Any ideas?
Pictures of the tank (a week ago, with much less slime) are here http/www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/331128-my-five-week-old-reef/
