Leaking 25 Gallon Tank = Pet?

Hey, I have a leaky 25 G tank, and was wandering if I could keep any animal/pet in something of that size?

I imagine hter are quite a few lizards or snakes that would work, you could also go with tarantulas, scorpions, or other bugs. Just depends on what you like.

Leopard geckos, african fat tailed geckos, crested geckos, Hognose snake, male royal python (females can get up to 6ft!).etc etc

I love western hog-nose snakes (as cheesy-feet suggested), that's what I'll eventually be using my 2 1/2' tank for.

You should, in the day mine come out to bask in the sunlight throguh the window, and most days they just come out in the day to have a look around.At first they'll be shy, sure, but they will eventually ease up.

Also arn't snakes and gerbils primarily nocturnal aswell?

Unless you have a very scaure lid i wouldn't get a snake, get a leopard gecko. They are really fun. You could prolly get am pair of females, or a trio depending on floor space. Its up to you

ah well. maybe I'll go with the leo then, just don't want a tank that looks -very- unoccupied, I'm not too fussed about shy animals, it's just I got the impression that I would never really see it, heh. Floor space is 90cm by 30cm, so enough for two females I presume?

I would say 3 females would be fine with 1 sq foot per gecko of floorspace. Also you must remember sometimes female wont get on, so its best to buy some that have been with other geckos and quite young. Also dont buy from a petshop, my LFS was selling patternless geckos for 130 pound and i got mine fully grown for 30 from the net

gerbils arent nocturnal hamsters are though
gerbils are fun to watch and to play with. would need 2 or 3 from same litter as get territorial. they are bi-ternal or whatever the word is for 'comes out to play at different tmes of the day and night'
