lead weights

soz to ask a simple question but it just something i wanted to know
when u buy fresh plants they often come with lead weights on the bottom.
are these harmful?

i think you're able to bury the plants with the lead weights on, but I'm not sure how the heavy metals will affect the tank.

ritght, so is there anyway u can keep the plants weighted down without the weights and do u think it would be best to remove the weights?

I,VE always left them on and bought more to put on to keep the plants down,never had any trouble through them.

i take them off...just get your plants under some gravel/sand/decorations so that they can root themselves and you won't need them

i dont think they would sell them for weighing aquarium plants down if they would harm fish or anything. as they do sell soft lead aquarium plant weights
