Lead In Fishing Line?

I got some fishing line for a flame moss carpet project, and I just read the bottom warning that it contained lead? Why would one need to put lead in fishing line? I probably can't put this in my tank now, can I?

Lead is not soluble in water, there's no reason why it would pose a risk.

I remember, during my adventerous youth, that certain lines we used to use in canals and streams had very thin strips of copper in them, used as an extra weight. But as SbS mentioned, that IS soluble and would cause damage to our tanks..
But i honestly thought lead would also be bad news for our fish and filters. Learn something new everyday on here.
