Hi I have a 260 litre planted tank currently served by an Eheim Professional II 2026 and Fluval 305. The Eheim is rated at 950lph and the Fluval at 1000lph. Now I know that's the rating empty and that it is greatly reduced by the media, but I would like to replace my Fluval as although it has been very good for the last couple of years it is a real bind to prime and seems to clogg more offend (even though I
gravel vac do a 40% water change each week).
Therefore I was thinking of getting the new eheim 3e 2074, as this is small enough to fit in the cabinet but can provide a greater, adjustable flow (rated upto 1500lph). I also like the idea of standardising the pipework in the tank.
Has anyone any experience with this filter or even the eheim 3e 2076 ~ are they good, are they noisy at higher flow rates?
