Eheim Pro 3e 2076 And Tetratec Uv Review (lot's Of Pics, 56k Bewar

It may be a little late to post a suggestion, but...

What if you were to put some pieces of Styrofoam (or something else soft) to each side of the filter. That way it's propped into place and the soft material would soak up the sound. Kind of like a filter sitting on the floor, the carpet absorbs some of the sound.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, Maybe wrap a blanket or some sort of insulation.

a couple of minus points... the horrible GREEN fittings - eheim has been using the same ones for over ten years.
Thats about my only complant about my Eheim filter

That's a beast of a filter. I considered one when I set my tank but it would have been serious overkill. I really don't know why Eheim ship their filters with that green pipework. It sticks out like a sore thumb. When I spotted a Eheim replacement kit which comes in a greyish colour, I went for it and as it cost me a packet, I think I might have a wee inkling as to why Eheim ship their filters with the green stuff!!! £££££s

My buddy has a 240 US gallon tank. 8' x 2' x 2'. MONSTER TANK!. He still doesn't quite get the cycling process and he has had the tank for about 4 years I think. So he lost $700 US dollars worth of cichlids!!!!

I reccomended him the Ehiem 2080 and told him all about it. He as VERY little filtration right now but I suppose it fine with only 5 fish or so in the tank now. I am getting a spare fx5 for almost free so I told him I would just give him that fx5 and see how that works out for him. He doesn't like spending lots of money. The tank was only 700 shipped back than.

The green tubing is VERY ugly, although better than white PVC. Clear PVC is the way to go though :)
