I got this guy a couple of weeks ago, he's itty bitty but he knows he's a 'big fish trapped in a little fish body'. Looking forward to many years together.

and I got this one a couple of months ago. I'll probably have to move him to my sump as the grouper grows, but right now they're oddly bff and always near each other. The cowfish ignores both, he's too cool for school.

I'm liking the grouper.

I often consider geting one, but i just can't let go of my larger FW fish to convert my 6x2x2 into a SW tank. Lovely looking fish though, with a nice large mouth.

Maybe when I have more room...

he's too cute, and the pieces of meat he grabs at dinnertime is laughable.

thanks,frf.

Gank- he's as gentle as a kitten. The cowfish, on the other hand, has drawn blood before (accidently)

Its the first time ive ever seen a fish marked like that, i love that polka dot look.

Fantastic :hyper:

i used to hand feed one of them at a aquazoo i spent much time at and i worked there for free.it was great but i moved from that area.great little grouper.lots of personallity.he was kept with alot smaller fish so the goby or wrasse thing(not sure on name)may be fine.may not be though.all about your fish i guess.

right on, fish. We were thinking the same thing about him being okay with the goby, especially if he grows up around him and food is abundant. He has put a dent in my hermit population though. Dunno...this guy really, really likes to eat. As you well know.

ba, you know I loves me some big puppy dog-like fish. And I also love growing big fish...so I had no choice. Had to have him.

Very nice fish. I had never seen this type of fish in my entire life. Very very very nice.

 That is a stunning fish. How big is he?? Have you got a full tank shot?? And more pics of that gorgeous cow fish of yours??

:D

Thanks guys!

fishkiller- he should stay just like this, he may get a little blotchy though.

Alex&Carmen- I'm sure I have way too many cowfish pics, he's such a ham  but none that are recent on photobucket, I'll upload some later. He should get about 15" +

Beautiful fish, panther groupers are the only fish that could tempt me to the salty side as i have adored them for as long as i can remember.

Unfortunately our electricity bill doesnt allow for a marine tank as well as a fishroom so i'll have to keep on admiring them from afar.

Our electricity was outrageous this month. I don't think my husband realizes that my tanks add to the cost, and I've never taken the time to point it out, but I am going to take down a couple tanks that are nothing but extra cost. Not the big ones, mind you. Just a couple of 30's.
