Last Time I Let The Missus Go Solo To A Lfs

Excellent thanks, any particular sex I should go for? at the moment iam fairly certain that the one adult bronze and two adult peppered's are all females.
Its pretty hard to sex them when there small but if you can i would go for 2 males 3 females but one of the corys experts will know better.

If you intend on breeding then normally 2 males to a female is normally recommended :) although my albinos i had 2 females to a male

Nice haul of cories though :good:

Here's some pics of what the missus was sold - Just want to make sure they are what she was told so i don't add any more types in and can concentrate on getting the groups I do have to 4

This is allegedly the Sterbai Cory - It does look like one from all the pics I can find.

I can tell you the Sterbai is not the often mis-sold Haroldschultzi, as your fish has light spots on a dark background on the face ;)

Looks like the ones has named, although the peppered and sterbai look quite pale in colour, someone more expert can help id those for sure.
The leopard is pretty certain a trilineatus (three line cory),has inchworm mentioned very often mis labelled has julli.can be known has false julli.

All fab fish :good:

So potentially I need (Assuming they are what people have said)

1 X 3 line Cory
2 X Albino Cory
3 X Sterbai Cory

To make 4 groups of 4 then when 2nd tank has cycled 2 groups of 4 can move over to that one.

Agree with NObody of The Goat, Sterbai Corys would have round gold spots, this has squiggles. I've only seen the Haraldschultzi once and at a high price, so I would buy 4 more of these 'sterbai' before they get sold. The Peppered Cory might be a peppered cory but I cant tell as its colours have faded so it might turn out to be a different cory. The albino is a normal albino bronze cory and the 'leopard' cory is a false julli. Nice fish you wife bought, huh? :p :hey:

I feel like tearing my hear out right about now lol It's the first time since I starting fishkeeping Ive actually been stressed out :-( The 10 cory that were listed in the OP were apparently the only 10 cory that they had hence why the wife bought em  Just need to pray now the next batch of cory they get in lets me try and make sets up

Going to phone LFS and arrange to take some of them back maybe keep 2 sets of 4 (need to buy 1 more peppered) If i cant even be sure what I have 100% trying to make 4 groups of 4 and then moving 2 of the groups to the 2nd tank when its cycled seems not my best idea. And keeping 4 groups of 4 isn't really feasable if I still want a BN plec some Hatchets or Halfbeaks and a few killis.

This is my stocking (excluding the corys)

I'd love to keep them all but atm I have

4 X False Julli Cory
3 X Pepper Cory
2 X Albino Cory
1 X Sterbai Cory

So I would need to purchase an additional 6 cory to make all 4 groups have 4 in it which would mean I had 26 bottom dwellers including the 10 khuli loaches I also think if I read correctly on here that cory are better in groups of 6+ and 24 cory total would seriously imbalance my tank both interms of bioload but also in terms of maintaining a eye pleasing ratio of top - middle - and bottom dwellers.

Potential Solution(s) decided on :good:

1) Take the sole Sterbai(or whatever it is he is back) and buy 2 albino and 1 3line giving 3 groups of 4 cory

2) Keep the sole Sterbai(or whatever it is he is) and buy 2 albino and 1 3line giving 3 groups of 4 cory + 1 sterbai

The LFS got more Cory in today but the sterbai isn't one they usually sell so it looks like he arrived at them by mistake so if I take him back hes only going to be sold solo again I'd imagine  The situation is my fault tho I misread a topic on here as I was dashing out the door and read it as the dif types were happy together (as in a mixed shoal) as opposed to happy together but in the own groups also.

2 of my babys  I decided in the end to up all 4 groups to 4 for now. When the other halfs tank is cycled 2 groups of 4 will go over to her tank and ill make my 2 4's into 2 6's
