Any surface in the tank has the bacteria.  No real need to replace any media in the filter unless its disintegrated.

Back for a few hours to dominate this thread.
Winning cos I'm going fishing for salmon in a couple of hours.
I'm so envious now. Fresh Alaskan salmon!! :fish:
If a cop even saw me remove a fish from the water I'd be placed with a big fat 5000$ fine. It was purely catch and release by law. I did get to eat salmon afterwards though. I didn't catch anything in the whole 5 hour trip.
It was a good day. Salmon fishing is fun. :)
The guy next to me caught a 10 pounder  . They get to 60!!! His one was about a foot and a half one too. I think I'd be scared of a full grown king salmon.

Zombies have not eaten me, I am actually... Alive. It was nice of you all to pretend to win, but the obvious winner has returned. In other words, the king is back to rule his kingdom. Bow down subjects...

I don't know how it works where you live CfC, but in the US, we don't bow down to kings.

That's a real shame.  I just assumed you would get to eat them.  Nothing like fresh!  I've never been confronted with a full grown king salmon, but its something I'm looking forward to! ;)

My filters are Aqua-tech, tetra whisper, and I think a different kind of tetra. I have ab aqueon but I don't use it.

And I am very disappointed with momma cray because she had a nice hatched batch of babies then she dropped then and ate nearly all of them

there was 200+ in that batch!!

Weeeeellllll probably not, but we can pretend he can. ;)

After you've seen Pyscho, you'll realize that the murderers don't hide in the shower, they attack while you're in the shower.

My favourite cockatoo is the molluccan (sp?), aka the salmon-crested. There is a bird-zoo about 20 miles away from me that has a beautifully tame specimen, who just loves his neck to be tickled (which I have to do, in spite of the warning signs that birds can bite. Well, duh).

When I was a teenager, I used to own an African Grey, so they are my most favouritest of the parrot family.
