EDIT! Forgot to say, i caught a 2 foot long garter snake today... I didnt get bitten.

In snorkeling, you're just on the waters surface looking down with a tube in your mouth and the air. In scuba diving, you wear a bunch of equipment, such as an air tank, special inflatable life vest, air hose to breath, and actually go down under the water onto the reefs.
