If I had a pond with native wild fish, I wouldn't worry about keeping fish for looks (i.e. ornamental garden ponds) rather I'd be fishing for dinner in it LOL...

yeah, one of my dreams is a 3 hectare pond with native tetras and small fish and invertebrates and teh big price will be the bass, tilapia, crappy, catfish, cichlids, yellow perch, green sunfish, bluegill and gar.
all of them for food and sport fishing

Some pics would be cool, one thought is make sure you have a lid as i've had a friend keep bass many times and they jump often. Good luck!
