Large Black Patches On Powder Blue Gouramis

I'm caring for a few of these bugers in a hospital tank but i can find no disease to go with this condition i'm seeing.

large black spots and some of them are ulcerated

Black patches are ammonia burns that are healing.
Ulcers are pink or red with a circling of dead skin around it, you need to find the cause as it can be poor water quality, parasites to bacterial.

Pic? What are your tests for ammonia and nitrites?
Tank regime for water changes etc

These fish were recently shipped to my store, and i don't have the ability to take and send pictures. It would make sense that they are ammonia burns.

however the water testing they are in now is optimum

If it was ammonia burns then the black you see now is the healing process. It takes around two weeks for the marks to go
