Hey guys, just a few pics of my Labidochromis Hongi
I currently have 6 of these guys, and are fun to watch when they dig their pits and spit sand at the other fish

Beautiful labs, DD! Their color has really improved in just a couple of weeks. And that big one is a real monster!

It wasn't really a rescue,i ordered them in at the LFS and they came in starved, so i took on the duty of fattening them up

YAY!! Some real pics of hongi.....beautiful fish

I am *most likely* going for a LONG drive this weekend to get some Hongi and some Red Empress. This is assuming they haven't sold before the weekend. The breeder I am buying them from won't hold fish for anyone since he has lost too many sales from people not turning up. Man I am desperate for them though. I plan on getting 10 hongi and 6 empress

Those are cool, I guess they can cross breed with the yellows as they are both Labidochromis? (me = african noob)

Yes wixx, unfortunatly they can.
But so far there has been no breeding what so ever and if there is, i'll stop it.

Just a small update, everyone is full in the belly and very healthy and are doing just fine, i even noticed some spawning behaviour between the 2nd and 3rd oldest Hongi

Mine are so little compared to yours Definitely not malnorished though (mean fish breeders)

The guy I got them from has a breeding colony thats absolutely stunning....his fish are of awesome quality I can't wait till mine start breeding since they are near impossible to find around here

Some of mine are barely and inch long, others are just over an inch

the pictures only make them look big, besides the biggest one(nearing 4 inches) the rest are 1-2 inches long
