Do zebs have any courtship behaviour before breeding? i have two constantly playing a game of cat and mouse in the tank in full view normally they hide but these two are chasing each other around, one is larger and broader and the other is smaller less stockier with a nice round tum is this common with zebs?

thanks

sounds more like aggression/ bullying than courtship, it may be a territorial thing, you could try moving the decor around, forcing them to find new territories.
do you know the sexes?
courtship normally involves the male staying in his cave, fanning his tail to try to attract the female, if you have a male, and he isn't staying put in his cave, i'd say that he isn't ready to breed yet.

i have 2 clown plecos ( not mega clowns ) and they do exactly the same as your zebras, and the description is spot on with mine ie:eek:ne is larger and broader one is smaller less stockier with a nice round tum.except one of mine is alot paler than the other.

its territorial behavior i think. mine chase each other 24/7.. less now they are in a 4ft tank but they still do it, and i have 3 large pieces of wood they can claim but...... no, plecos will be plecos and want the same darned one. :fun:

they are fine with my bn and gn, and there twice there size. quite funny seeing a 5 inch bn eating a potato right beside a 2 1/2 inch clown pleco.lol

EDIT: Spelling.
