L134 'Leopard Frog Plecs

Buffy has got to be one of our bravest plecs - shes only been with us a few weeks and 'its her tank' shes always out and about.

I supose she has to keep an eye out for the forces of evil!

Now you're making me wish I'd taken the trouble to drive to the land of the concrete cows to get one of those plecs. She's lovely!

Hi Smithrc, I was looking at the L134s over the bank holiday weekend and I'm very tempted to return this w/e to buy one or two. You refer to yours as a 'she', do you know how to sex them? I sort of felt maybe the brownier ones were female and the darker ones were male.

Nice pics, one of them is serving as my desktop wallpaper to tempt me

The galaxies are very very nice, get a bit too big though. I also liked the chunky Corydoras Sterbai.

did you go to maidenhead at woburn?

Its fast becoming a very good shop

sexing theses is relativly easy - its mainly down to body shape, the females are broarder.

we picked the one we wanted and i compared them to the others in the tank.

I may be wrong in the sexing but I'm sure she /he dosnt really mind

the galaxy plecs get to about 6" - still not massive

do you want a bigger pic for the desktop? - more temptation
I'm still tempted to get a few more and try breeding them... not sure yet though.

yep, Maidenhead at Woburn is where I'm looking. I didn't make it out this w/e, hopefully next. Thanks for the info. on sexing. The little picture of Buffy in the middle of my desktop is all the temptation I need! My main concern is stocking my new 50 gallon too quickly so I'm having to maintain some self control.

Went shopping for an L134 yesterday at Shotgate aquatics in Bilaricay but they'd sold out.

Left the store with an L034 (medusa), an L200 (lemon spotted green plec) and two L187 (striped rubbernose plecs) Instead!

Still on the lookout for another L034 and an L134!

Buffy is absolutely beautiful! Nice bright colourings! Now I am jealous, we in seem to never get such beautiful plecs and if we do get something different, we pay an arm and a leg for them. My Medusa cost me $45 Cdn, and that was a steal in comparrsion to other stores.
Just to let you know SmithRc, I am jealous of her, so pretty!
