Well today I went out to get some plants for some of my tanks but that's not what I left with. At a great price I couldn't resist I left with these...

I only had enough on my for the 2 of the L066's but if there are any left when I next visit I'm going to try and get some more. I also bought 3 more BN's which I may post pics of later.

wow those are particularly lovely
Hope they settle in well :good:

Shoddy photography doesn't help them at all  But yeah they are lovely. I now need to raise some funds to get s afew more if they have any left. They are settling well, now hidden away in pipes/coconuts.

After a little deliberation they are moving to my 25g tomorrow, to leave the 30g to the BN's.

Thankies Geo :D

I'm thinking of trying to get one more, I'd like to breed them but with just the pair my chance are slim.

Thanks stang1, they are great looking fish. I just hope they still have a few the next time I can visit in a few weeks :(

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, would be a shame to miss out on buying more of these beautiful fish.

Thank you :) I'd love to try and breed these, how many would you say? I'm going to try and squeeze 2 more of these out of my mum

I've no idea on how many would be needed for breeding, might be worth having a look at Planetcatfish.com.
Make sure you do the washing up and get your mum breakfast in bed for a couple of weeks, should do the trick! ;)

Washing up... making breakfast  you obviously don't know me. Well a group will be ideal really, I'm thinking 4 should be enough if I can get them.

Great! jayjay. Gorgeous pair! These are hypancistrus? I understand that 3 is good for breeding: 1male + 2 female. More and you need a bigger tank, I am told--the 20 gal +

I just put 5 (1 male + 4 female) in a 29 usg. That was the suppier's advice. He breeds plecs and Cichlids for sale.

I now have the two of them in my 25g (30x15x12). I might try and get another if they still have them.
