If the plec still doesn't eat, try rubbing some garlic juice on some veg or wafers(not too long on wafers otherwise it will start to fall apart), garlic is an appetite stimulant for fish.

ive tried corgette cucumber and sweet potato but he doesnt seem interested, the clown plec and BN pleco tuck into it but not him. The algae pellets were all he seemed to like. Can you buy garlic juice from supermarkets?

How many pieces are you putting in?

You could try adding more veg and spreading it round the tank, bns can be a little territorial over food.

You can use a garlic clove, crush it and put any veg or wafers in it for a while.
You can also buy products at the lfs ie seachem garlic guard and i think waterlife make one, but these are a lot more money than buying some regular garlic, and yes you can buy bottles of garlic juice at supermarkets, not sure how much they are though.

Forgot to ask.

Have you tried the L52 on any algae wafers?

im only putting 1 bit of cucumber in bits its normally about 3 inch bit, yeh it is the algae wafers it normally eats sorry as i was calling them tablets

thanx for the help though
