kudos to wal-mart

Wow my betta's are only $3.84 in my store but i will tell you all if you find a fish in the walmart and you know you can get it at any other store cheaper then tell the person at the pet dept.. or even the cashier and they will or should comp the price for you.. like if you come to me and i have common gold fish for .28 then you know that petsmart has it at .12 then i will match that price and go and check it out the next time i am there,,,that is how we keep our always low prices... :)

don't you usually need a flyer or some kind to match that price? i know the fish at walmart are usually al ot more expesnive. Example: a betta was sold for 4.97 at wlamart and 2.99 at petsmart, not sure if they'll match the price though.

Anyone ever heard of Big Al's fishing store or something?

My local Wal Mart recently became a Superstore.I gotta say I was surprised at how nice the fish dept is now. They have everything labeled as to type and compatibility. The tanks are pretty clean, and they are the only place I have found ghost shrimp.Just wish I'd looked there before I got my tank setup. They had a much nicer one for only a few dollars more. The employees are helpful too.Not sure how knowledgeable they are,but they can't be much worse than our pet supermart. One of them told us that guppies and goldfish are good tankmates

Koda

guppies and goldfish? well, they must be new teach them what you can it will help others in the long run that is how i learn my customers...
As for the ad not most of the time in the pet dept. because there are most of the time no ad's on fish all you have to do is talk to us we understand at least the good ones do...... as for the fish tanks the new set ups we get now are very nice at first but if the person in the dept. doesn't care then give it a few month's and they will look bad too.. we have a few around here that i heard aren't very nice.. i try to clean mine off every time we take fish out.. and wed. the day before we get fish i try to clean the worst ones.. others i do on a day to day basis if they get to bad.. but then again i keep catfish and pleco's in almost all of mine so they do the job for me i figure cuts down on the cleaning and stress on the fish.. mine have done pretty well this way..

i went 2 my good wlamrt, and the fish person wasnt there that day, so some guy had 2 get the fish, he put some extras into the buckette thing, and ghe scooped them out w/his hands!!!!!

I was in Walmart over the weekend. I was peering into the tanks, counting the dead fish when a man approached me and asked if I needed help. I replied, "No, I'm just counting all the dead fish." He asked where and I pointed out the five dead plecos piled on each other. He said "Oh my gosh! I'll get someone out here right away to clean these tanks." A few minutes later a woman came out and said, "Wow! That was the store manager you got there. He's pissed!"

:D

Made me feel good. I didn't mean to complain to the store manager, but as luck would have it, there he was. Yea me! :p
