if i bought a male and female would they attack/kill my other fish

5 cardinal tetras
4 ottos

your cardinals will make it, not sure about ottos, no experience

I have neon's in with my pair and so far they haven't touched them, nor any of the other fish, and I dont have any otto's, the stuff I've read about Krib's indicates that they're quite docile for cichlids, and only get nasty when breeding, but I have to add that I did only get my pair on Friday and they've only been in my tank for about 48 hours, so they're still settling in.

hmmmmmm im getting 1 krib 2day so i presume they r non aggresive when alone but when i get the pair thats when i will need 2 keep an eye on them?

if any1 can help with any experience on keeping ottos with a pair of kribs please let me know.

id think you will be alright myself kribs from what i can gather r one of if not the most laid back cichlid going

Ahhhh.... you are a sneaky one.....

IMO they will be fine.... from what I heard, Kribs are pretty peaceful and calm, unless they are mating, but I'm sure if they had their own cave or something it would be an easy territory for them to control were the mating so no other fish would go there... thats how I see it

kribs are mostly only aggressive towards eachother, when you have kribs its good to have a group of dither fish for the kribs, particularily the male, to chase around during breeding instead of fighting eachother...kribs are mostly only aggressive during breeding and when the fry come they just want the other fish to stay the heck away.....except there is a bit of aggression from the male towards the female...they are fascinating....to tell u the truth im not sure what ottos are but if thye are small and can swim faster than the kribs they will be fine!

Otos are about 2 inches long I believe and just like a CAE, except for aggression that is.... relatively shy, quick as heck... should do fine ! hahahah

after all that good news i went out and bought what the lfs described as a male and a female, il be posting pics of them up soon after i manage a pic of them both
