Give it a week and a half to two weeks and you will have babies everywhere. Congrates on such vigorous fish.

OMG: Gave my filter the once over as part of the monthly maintenance and guess what i now have?

25 healthy krib fry currently in my wife's fry set up, they managed to defeat the impossible and survive in the 405 for 7 days or so..

I should have thought about that. I kinda sort of had that brfore but I was missing two crabs and one day I looked in my filter and yelled to my mom," OHG I found the crabs, It scared the living crap out of me, but atleast. I guess that kinda relates to what what happend to you. But I am happy you found them and hope they make it through the holidays.

And then there were none.. I'm not having as much luck.
On Wednesday evening I watched in horror as the male krib ate what I thought were the last 3 fry. The female was at the other end of the tank and they swam right in front of him and he snapped them up. The next day I found that there were still 5 survivors guarded in a corner by the female but by Saturday there was no sign and she has her breeding colours back on and is chasing the male so perhaps a new batch for Christmas
