Kribensis Eggs

Yep, PM me when your ready, my male is full grown so she would need to be a good size. Two spot is showing he's displeasure by pulling up as many plants as he can and flaring at me, he is so funny. Even though he has guppy and fry in with him, he hasn't shown any interest in them.

 My male is huge, my previous pair were no where near the quality of this pair. I will PM you in a year or so when they are big enough! LOL! Do you know if there is any reason that he battered the other female Elliotti?

I guess she just wasn't for him. Don't get me wrong he did try and woo her, but she just wasn't interested so I guess he took his frustration out on her. Valuable lesson learnt just because you have a pair, it dosn't mean they they will get on.

The kribs aren't coming out of the ornament now, not even for food, maybe they moved...

If they are not coming out, then that could be good news.
Normally means they are looking after the eggs.

It would be a shame if not.

Fingers crossed mate.

Pete

Well............................

I have fry!!! From what i can see there is a few, unsure as to how many as they still aren't coming out, but i've only had the tank since last Thursday and the fry are free swimming. :good: Really pleased... :hyper:

Sweeeeeeet mate.

Congratulations.
Well pleased for you.
It took our Kribs a couple of days before she took them out around the tank, then they got pounced on.

Hope you have better luck then we have.

Only got 3 left now.

Kindest Regards,

Pete

I thought you had 5 left after finding a couple in the filter? I need to cover my filter but i don't want to upset them by doing it and risk them eating them... Can't decide what to do! lol. There is nothing else in the tank other than them and one other baby (i think) that i can't catch so nothing should eat them. (Famous last words!) I keep looking at them to make sure they are still there.

Going to start feeding them with the BBS later on. The tank is quickly becoming filthy though as it is near the window in the dining room which is heart breaking to see.

Thanks, david.

Yeah, we lost 2 again.
This time they were dead.

You will.
We are always looking for them in the tank.
Bright gravel DOES come in handy for that Dave

It will mate.
If you have the tank by the window, the light & heat from the sun will make algae grow VERY quickly.
Also if you leave the aquarium light on for long periods can do this too.

Good luck with yours mate.

Regards,

Pete

It's the sun light thats doing it... When the fry out and about i am going to remove the shipwreck they are currently in and clean it then replace it.

Maybe i should get some neon green gravel then...  :kana:

Quick picture, a couple of the fry with mum. All seem to be doing well. :)

I started with 50 eggs, hatched with 30 fry, now down to 6 after a week or so. But they seem quite happy :)
