hi, id been tinin that my kribs were goin to spawn for a while now, and when i got up this morning i woke up to find both my kribs huddled around the bogwood with around 20 fry!. Id just like a little advise. They are in a tank pretty much on thier own so they have a good chance of survival. the only tank mate they have which worries me a little is a 6 inch plec! should i live him in thier or take him out? i really wanna raise these to adults, does anyone have any hints and tips to help me? ive been keepin fish for a while but ive never ad fry before!

hi the plec will be fine in there with them you can raise them like this you will have to remove the juvinile kribs when the parents start to breed again in about a months time otherwise the parents will start to see them as a threat to there new fry and kill them
other than that they should be fine

As stated earlier, they should be fine. Plecos are nortorious for eating eggs, but not fry.

sounds good to me, ive bougt some liquifry to feed em wi but ow often should i feed em?

to be honest you dont really need liquifry for kribs as soon as there free swimming there good eaters and will take standard foods as log as there small enough i just crush flake or pellet and i also feed micro worms grindal worms and white worms
i fed mine small amounts 4 times a day

cool mine have had there breeding colours on for the last couple of weeks so i should have fry soon also

I would just feed them a growth flake. Liquifry is more for a small fry deal. Krib fry are born good sized.

thats good, not too much wor on my part! im not good at carin for things lol.

i would say 20gallon but i have heard of people using smaller

ok im a little gutted as it aint lookin good. they are only 3 days old and ive gone from 21 to 14 fry. what do you reckon the chances are of her actually keepin any to a size where i can move them on?

how did the others die ? is this there first brood sometimes it can take them a couple of broods to get there parenting skills down

i dunno how they died they just dissapeared, yea its thier first. i can count 13 now ....
