I woke up thismorning to find one of my Kribs dead.
He's been in the tank for about 6 months and has been absolutely fine.
He was fine last night when I went ot bed, and suddenly today he's dead!

Theodd thing is, he was floating around the top, and he was all bloated. His eyes were bulging too, but his body was intact.

Is this a common symptom of some kind of death?

tank 4 ft (120L)
Yes. Partials weekly. Last one 2 days ago.

Stats:
PH 6.4 (don't mess with it at all).
Ammonia- 0
Nitrate- 10ppm
Nitrite- 0

There were 3 pairs of mating kribs each with their own little bit of territory now that the malawi is gone.

He was definitely a male. The middle of the 3.

120L 4ft.
2 pairs are only babies at the mo though.
Before you think that one did this to the another, I'm pretty sure he didn't. They are all very placid and there was no damage on him from attack.

:dunno:

If as you say "he was fine last night", then disease, old age, or some other slow, symptomatic issue are less likely causes of death. Obviously your parameters are spot on, so that's unlikely to be a factor.

A sudden outbreak of violence between 3 pairs of breeding kribs in a 32g tank seems the likely cause to me. Not all damage is visible. That's my opinion given your description of the situation.

Regardless, sorry about your loss.
