Koi & Goldfish..

I have a tank full of Koi and Goldfish, I would like to add some live plants instead of plastic ones... What kind of plants will my fish not eat?? B)

So far, my goldfish have not touched any of the anubias or java varieties. Everything else seems to be fair game.

its not a question of what koi wont eat its what theyl leave in ,they tend to be destructive and will pull most plants out

I have a 35 gallon take with about 5 Koi and 7 goldfish... It's a temp tank because out pond sprung a leak over the winter. I figured they would like some plants while they're in there, so just curious what kinds they wouldn't eat.

Try to get them out of that tank as soon as possible. Koi and goldfish will disturb plants regularly which makes it hard for them to get a foot hold and start growing. Buying larger plants with a prtective basket helps but they will still cause some destruction. The only way to solve it is to get more plants than the fish can eat/damage, or making the correct conditions for the plants to grow faster than the fish can eat them.
