i have been looking at EI but i go away quite a lot so i dont want my neighbour having to dose different chemicals daily etc.

so i have come up with this routine

Mon -
Tue - NPK & Excell
Wed -
Thur -
Fri - Flourish (for trace elments)
Sat -
Sun - 40% w/c with NPK & Excell

Would this work as a mini EI method or is it a recipe for disaster?

It is a 180l/ 40g
2 x 24W HO T5's = 1.2WPG
Nutrafin co2 at moment but this *possible* routine won't be happening unless i get a pressurized system.

Any ideas to improve, any pros and cons you can think of please say.

Thanks

P.s I have read pinned thread.

Should work fine, you have plenty of nutrients for this light level.
Upgrade the CO2, it is the weak point here.

If you say it is ok then it must be! ;)

I am getting a pressurized system soon so that is when i will start this method.

EDIT: Forgot to say, i will be dosing chemicals via seachem liquid brand, is this ok or will i need to make my own via dry ferts?

Seachem ferts are fine. Just more ££ than dry.

Where would you find dry ferts? Will any do or does it have to be a specific 'aquatic' type?

Just found powders on AE, i will be using them now following that pinned thread guide.

Would i need magnesium sulphate or will i be ok with just:

pottasium nitrate
Pottasium phosphate
Trace elements

Should i add it anyway, to help or is there no point?
