Hi

i have just had one of my kissing fish die and can't figure the cause of death (searching for answers in the general forum).

but i was wondering will the remaining one be ok on his own or does he need a friend?

Depends how big is the fish?

Gender and the size of the tank?

about 4 inchs long and i don't know if its a boy or a girl. how can you tell?
the tank is 110 litres.

From what I can gather, there is no real way to sex Kissing Gouramies.
As they have the potential to reach a good 8-10", I would not add another one to the tank.
Yours should be perfectly fine on it's own.

Listen to Stang. They're aggresive fish and they're very hard to sex.
