killifish

I've seen some amazing fish called killifish and I was wondering if anyone had any information on them as in tank size ect. I 've read that they like to live in small tanks but this could just be like saying bettas like living in bowls. anyways, coul a 10 gallon keep a few in it?
I've also read about them laying eggs in mops and then you put the mops in a closet or some thing then reheat it in the tank, what's this about?
