once the eggs have been 'laid' as such - or dropped whatever...... what do you do with them i fyou want them to hatch or sell them on etc....

It depends on the type of killifish you are keeping. If you are breeding Aphyosemium or Epliplaty species, then the eggs will hatch out in a week or so and the fry can be transferred into another tank, assuming they don't get eaten by the adults.
Nothobranchius species usually need the eggs to be removed and kept in damp peat for a few weeks to several months before being put into a tank of dechlorinated water. Then they hatch out. Some species don't need the drying period and will hatch in the tank with the adults.

If you have lots of plants (particularly floating plants) in the tank, the fry will have more places to hide. Also keep the adults well fed and they will be less inclined to eating the young.
