Well, Calli's baby was born at 4 am this morning. There's only two pictures, so as not to disturb mom and baby.

Sadly, I doubt it'll stay black. His mom is an Appie, and his father is a paint/Appie...so more then likely the little guy will either be roan, or have some Appie coloring. He already has stripped hooves and lips, so there's definitely some Appie in him...whether that will show or not is debateable, but it usually does. But we can treasure the cute blackness right now.

It is with great sorrow that I pass on that Calli has died of a heart attack. The little foal is being bottle fed currently, and is moving on to eating slowly.

RIP Calli.
