Keeping A Tank Near A Fire?

The stove wouldnt be on all day, I dont think that in the few hours it would be ok in the evening that it would heat the water to highly...
Anyone have any concrete knowlage on wheather it could take the heat?

Fire it up and stand two feet from the stove, see if it gets hot.

We havnt got the stove yet (getting installed in two weeks) but I can garentee you it will....Its just whether that would be dangerous to the silicon melting, the glass bowing or the water getting far too hot.

Great news. Just got the email back from Keith at Windsor Aquatics:
"The heat from the stove won't have any effect on either the glass or the silicon, so you've no worries on that account."
So thats not an issue which is good, and one step closer to getting the tank
