First time iv have put soon fruit in my tank and my fish quite like it, is ther any pluses to feeding fruit?

Ke-We ? Is that how you spell it over there ?
I have only seen it as kiwi
I have never thought about giving fruit to my fish ... hmm, I'll have to look it up !

Kiwi is the spelling I believe lol, not sure with the fruit, maybe a benefit to fish such as plecos, can't do any harm to other fish can it?

I just couldn't remember how to spell it lmao

What about bananas? I have tons of that stuff but... I know that it's radiated. o_O... and I eat that stuff.

I have just put watermelon in my tank that was left over from my wifes breakfast. There is still a bit of melon and it is stil on the rind. Hopefully my BN will go for it seems like the cardinals are the most adventerous atm.

Many fishes love veggies and fruits, especially plecos. Watermelon is the true treat to my bristlenoses and gold spot pleco. It's not odd that other fish nibble them, too.

Courgette (fast cooking for softing) is the best, cucumber is good but has little nutrition. Lettuce, quickly a bit cooked carrots are good too, and many people feed peas (with their skin of) for fish with stomach problems.

They are good little treats to give every now and then when you prepare them at first, rinsing them good, or giving them a bath in a boiling water if they are hard, and removing the skin from cucumber and courgette.

Iiriva - my fish smashed the rind on my cucumber  unusual?

I have courgette to try sometime next week and the BN is all over the watermelon now :hyper:

Sad how I get excited knowing they are loving little treats.

May have to try a pea or 2 on Sunday when I have my dinner

Slightly cooked veg will probably be a bit better than fruit, but it's ok as a treat now and then, im not sure but it could be a bit sugary. I suppose the pluses are that it gives them a bit of variety, and if they seem to enjoy eating it, it's nice to watch that.

Blanch it in boiling water for a minute or so, put in cold water to cool, then plop it in. Use a veg clip or weigh it own if u like but I just drop it in.
