Juwel Vision 180 Lights

Hi

Iv not long got a new Juwel Vision 180 , its still cycling at the moment , iv got a few plants in it which seem to be doing good , what i would like to know is would i be better changing the more softer of the light tubes for another brighter one to help the plants ?? it has 2 25w tubes at the moment giving about 1.3wpg..

eventually i might look into upgrading the lights but its not a thing i can do at the moment with expense of Xmas just around the corner.

iv lined the flaps on top with tin foil at the moment to help things a bit but will get some proper reflectors soonish ..

reflectors will effectively double your WPG just checking though with a WPG that high will you be going high tech with co2 and substrates an all otherwise that just screams algae. also for a bright bulb a good combonation is an arcadia freshwater tube and a dennerle spceial plant. or maybe a hagen life glo and a flora glo
