Juwel Trigon Light Unit

hi, the light unit (t5) on my trigon has all of a sudden decided to play-up.. just tried to switch the lights on earlier with the switch and they came on for like a second, then went off again. Flipped the swich again, and again but nothing.. so unplugged it, re-plugged and the same keeps happening.. it comes on once for a second then back off.

Ive tried swoppin the fuse but no luck.. anyone have any ideas ??

You might be better asking in the hardware section
Is your tank fairly new? Trigon's were a bit notorious for this problem, perhaps it's covered under the warranty?

hi.. it was bought jan2008 from pets@home.. you think it will still be under warranty ?

If nobody knows, does anyone know if id get it replaced at pets at home ? i bought it from there jan2008..

I've just had this problem with my T5 light unit on a Jewel tank as well. If you have you're proof of purchase, then you're laughing. Take the broken light unit and proof to Pets at Home, tell them the problem and they'll order in/replace the light unit. The light units all come with 2 year warranty. If they give you the old "we don't stock replacement parts etc" then you can also contact Jewel directly for a replacement. If you don't have the proof of purchase, then like me you're buggered and have to splash out for a new light unit(which cost me £73)
