get oak leaves, there really ccheap off ebay ive used them before!!

ill have a look, the leaves i have were off ebay, ketapang leaves ive got a bag full of em!

was quite happy with them too being as they lowered my pH a bit, it was 7.6 and now its gone down to 7.2

 its funny though because my tap water was at 7.6 and i tested it again recently just out of interest and the results came out as 7.2

Just if you didnt know- when you test your ph ou of the tap, leave it for 24 hours with an air stone. Just noticed your leicester too, i think mines around 7.2.

ahh right thanks for that, i had been using a dip strip test which gave me mixed results so i went out and got an api master test kit which is a lot better, much more accurate results!

Looks really well now. I'd defo get a black background on it though. I just got some black card for mine & cut it to size, gives the whole thing a lot more depth.

or a bin bag? i use binbags on all my tanks easy and cheep, also your going to take the neons out right? there from the amazon

i used a bin bag on my previous tank, worked pretty well actually

got some weeping moss in the tank now had to take the main piece of wood out took me a good while to wrap the flame moss on but it will be worth it when its grown in!

also yes i think i will be taking the neons out! although i really like them, their colour is great, think i will pass them on to my dad when he's set up his tank
