Juwel 300w Heater?

my trigon 350 tank is currently running a rena cal heater,the tank was purchased second hand and thats what it came with,now some time ago i bought a brand new jumbo filter and 300w heater off of ebay,as you never know when they will come in handy,now there needed,my rena heater is starting to play up the tank temp. rises and my tank alarm keeps going off,i plan to put the brand new juwel heater in to replace the cal,now heres my question,the juewl heater has 3 full turns on the adjuster from the + to = settings,has anyone a rough idea where to set this to to start off with to try to keep the temp. at aprox 26?

What type of setup do you have? Tropical or coldwater?

What fish do you have in the tank?

Juwel heaters are factory set at 26C

yes i have a tropical set up with sharks,angels,neons,gourami's and alike...

as for the heater being set at 26,how do i know for sure,when i got the heater the "adjuster" was turned all the way to the -,i have turned it all the way to the + to see how many rotations it does,i'm thinking set it at about 1 1/2 rotations,roughly in the middel between the max and the min?

why dont you just buy a thermometer, that will tell you the water temp?
